On Saturday, October 16, 2022, we will take you back to days gone by, during the exclusive carriage tour of Castle de Haar. In the castle park between 11:00 and 14:30 original restored carriages can be admired during an exclusive tour through the park. Visitors enjoy this spectacle at no extra cost.

The brass and silverware is gleamingly polished, the horses are brushed and the coachmen and postilions have their galley livery ready to hang. Anyone who knows the story of the puissant wealthy van Zuylen van Nijevelt van de Haar family knows that Baron Etienne and Baroness Hélène had a fascination with carriages and automobiles. Our original carriages have been fully restored in recent years and now once again tell the story of the past. The "calèche, victoria-duc, char-à-banc and the napoleon phaeton" have been preserved for posterity through museum restoration. But a carriage only really comes to life by putting horses in front of it. Therefore, on Saturday, Oct. 16, we will go back to the heyday for once during De Rijtuigen van Kasteel de Haar. Admire the carriages with park during a visit. You will be amazed!

Admire the spectacle in the castle park
During the event "The Carriages of Castle de Haar" we bring the atmosphere all the way back to the belle époque, the "beautiful time" before the First World War. Rarely will the romance in the castle park be so palpable as on Saturday, Oct. 16.
