Portraits baron & baroness

The portraits of the baron and baroness hang prominently in the castle's Ballroom. The condition of the paintings does not do credit to the Baron and Baroness. These portraits have lost their luster over the past century and are in dire need of restoration. The frames are warped, the canvas ripples, and a hundred years of bat urine has done the paint and varnish no favors. The paintings need cleaning and stabilization to prevent further decay.

Castle de Haar, like every museum, has been affected by the Corona crisis and has no resourcesmore for restoration of these portraits. Therefore, Castle de Haar started a mobile collection. Unfortunately, not enough money has yet been raised for the restoration. We are very grateful for all donations.
