Public transportation

From Utrecht Central:

Take the sprinter towards The Hague Central Station and get off at Vleuten station.

Bus 111 - from station Vleuten (note only in weekends, every half hour):
Take Bus 111 towards Kasteel de Haar, from there it is a 1 min walk to the reception of Kasteel de Haar.

Bus 127 - from station Vleuten:
Take Bus 127 towards Breukelen (stop Brink, Haarzuilens), from there it is a 15 min walk to the castle.

NOTE: If you want to make sure your bus is running, it is best to plan your trip via 9292ov.nl

From Amsterdam Central:

Take the train from Amsterdam to Utrecht CS
Then take the sprinter towards The Hague Central Station and get off at Vleuten station.

OV bike:

Prefer biking? At stations Vleuten, Woerden and Breukelen you can easily rent an OV bike for a bike ride to the castle. See own transport for more information.

private transport

By car:

Are you coming by car? Then you can park in our own parking lot. The parking lot is right across from the entrance.

A parking ticket can be booked in advance online, at the ticket office when you visit, or use your debit card at the pole when exiting. A parking ticket costs €7.50. There is a parking ban in the immediate vicinity of the castle which is strictly enforced by the police. Please do not park anywhere other than the designated parking area.

During events, follow the special route signs to Castle de Haar.
Note: Different parking fees apply during events.

By bicycle:

If you come by bike, you can park in the free bike parking lot across from the entrance gate. Plan your route here. Public transport bikes can be rented at Station Vleuten, Woerden and Breukelen, check availability.
