Castle de Haar is happy to assist in the proper handling of the name statement:

- Castle de Haar | K, H always in capitals, the always with lower case
This refers to Castle de Haar as a whole with its Park and Gardens, the official name is Castle de Haar and not De Haar.

- De Haar | D and H always in capitals
Use this term only when talking about the historical estate De Haar, so this is not a synonym of Kasteel de Haar and concerns more than the castle and its landscaped park and gardens.

- The Haar Castle | D, H and C always in capitals

- Haarzuilens | The name of the village, not the castle

- Baron van Zuylen van Nijevelt van de Haar | Z, N and H always in capitals

- Baron Etienne | Capital E, without dots on the second e. This is a French name and therefore cannot be mispronounced.

- Baroness Hélène | Capital H and with an accent aigu on the first e and one with grave on the second e.
