Groups up to 10 people

Groups up to 10 people (excluding any guide you bring yourself) are welcome during opening hours from 11:00 to 17:00 and during high season from 10:00 to 17:00. Would you like to bring your own guide? For groups of this size, an external guide is allowed on payment of the regular entrance fee and provided that the guide has been notified in advance. Your own guide will receive a name badge at the reception desk.

Castle guide
For groups up to 10 people, booking a private guide from Castle de Haar is not possible.

Prices
For a group visit up to 10 people, regular admission prices, discounts and passes apply as indicated on the website. For any outside guide, the regular admission rate applies. Please note that the guide must be notified in advance.

Groups 11 to 19 people

Groups of 11 to 19 people are welcome during opening hours from 11:00 to 16:15 and during high season from 10:00 to 16:15. For groups of 10 persons or more it is not possible to bring your own guide, we will gladly provide a guide for you.

Castle Guide
Would you like to make your visit complete? Then you can book a private guide of Castle de Haar for a fixed rate of €175 per group of 20 people. This is only possible on weekdays at 9:30 am and 3:30 pm and on weekends at 9:30 am. The guided tour lasts 60 minutes. A castle guide can tour a group of 10 to 20 people, for larger groups we provide more guides.

Groups of 20 people or more

Castle de Haar offers group visits for groups of 20 people or more on all days of the week. A morning visit starts at 09:30 and an afternoon visit starts at 15:30. On Saturdays and Sundays we do not offer group visits in the afternoon and during holidays and vacations of the central region, group visits are not possible due to crowds and in order to guarantee the quality of your group visit as much as possible. Castle Guide
Would you like to complete your visit? Then you can book additional private guides of Castle de Haar for a fixed rate of €85 per guide, for groups of 20 people or more we will provide more guides. The guided tour lasts 60 minutes.

Prices
For your group of 20 people or more, we are happy to make a customized offer. Because of the group discount, other discounts (such as Museum Year Card and Friends Lottery VIP card) and promotions do not apply. Payment is always in advance by invoice, whereby changes are no longer possible from 14 days before the planned visit. From the 21st person onwards, one admission ticket per person at regular rate will be added.

Park visit

In addition to a castle visit, you can also choose to visit the park with your group. You can visit the park with as many people as you want. The park is free to visit for groups up to 20 people and accessible daily from 09:30 to 17:00. For groups of 20 people or more, we will make a reservation for you. Tour operators

Are you a tour operator? Then you can purchase a package from us per group of 20 for a flat rate of €379. This includes 20 castle tickets, a private guide and parking for coaches. Payment is possible by invoice, pin or credit card.

Booking and cancellation

Booking
You can reserve a group visit at informatie@kasteeldehaar.nl. All groups of 20 or more (including accompanying persons) are required to make a group reservation prior to the museum visit. Do you want to be sure of a place? Then please make a reservation no later than 10 working days before your group visit.

Cancel
A reservation can be cancelled or changed free of charge up to 10 business days prior to the visit, if you choose payment by invoice. For groups of 20 people or more with payment by invoice, cancellations or changes later than 10 days prior to the visit are no longer possible. Subsequent cancellations or changes will be charged in full. If you choose to pay at the box office, changes are possible up to the visit day based on availability. We ask that you pay the fee via debit or credit card at the box office no later than 20 minutes before the start of the tour.

Wheelchairs, walkers and canes

The park is partially paved and thus partially accessible for walkers, wheelchairs and people with mobility problems. The castle is poorly accessible for people with mobility problems. Assistive devices such as wheelchairs and rollators are not allowed to be taken into the castle. Several floors will be visited during the visit and are accessible only by narrow staircases. There is no elevator.

Accessibility & Parking

Castle de Haar is a 25-minute drive from Amsterdam and 15 minutes from Utrecht. See the Address and route page for more information. The castle has ample parking for 350 cars. Touring cars can be parked in the visitor parking lot. At the information desk in the entrance building you will receive a parking card that allows you to exit with your coach.

From the parking lot you can walk to the entrance building in 5 minutes and from the entrance building to the castle in 10 minutes. Restrooms are available both on the Stable Square and in the castle. We recommend taking about 2.5 hours to fully enjoy the castle and park.

Hospitality

Before or after your group tour, we would like to welcome you to the location with the most beautiful view of the estate, namely the Tuynhuis. This location is right next to the castle in the park and has a terrace. The Tuynhuis is therefore not only ideal for drinking a cup of coffee with one of the delicious sweets, such as an apple pie, muffin or chocolate cake, but also for taking fun photos as a reminder of a unique day out.
