Castle Visit
A visit to Castle de Haar is a breathtaking experience for everyone. It already starts when entering the 18-meter high Main Hall with its wooden vault and the many stained glass windows. Follow the route through the castle and enjoy all its splendor. Our enthusiastic guides, standing in the various rooms, will be happy to tell you more about the high-profile history of the castle and the Van Zuylen van Nijevelt family. Of course, you can take a lovely walk in the extensive castle park before and after (included).
Your group is welcome to visit the castle:
- Seven days a week
- During regular opening hours (last walk-in castle at 16.15 hours)
- Groups from 21 persons receive 20% discount on regular entrance fees (not valid in combination with other discounts and promotions).
Visiting the park alone is of course also possible, with its beautiful style gardens, the Maze, the Picnic Meadow and the Deer Camp. Every season has its own charm.
Culinary possibilities
A day out is not complete without a tasty snack and drink. We have various culinary options for every type of company. Starting with delicious coffee and cake or ending with a drink with appetizers (€ 9.50 per person)? Or choose a high tea, lunch arrangement or dinner? We would like to welcome you to Restaurant Laverie, located on the attractive Stalplein. Or in the Coach House, which can be booked exclusively for your party.
Children welcome
Are you bringing children? Castle de Haar has various walking routes and treasure hunts in the park and the castle, especially for children. While playing they will discover the story of Kasteel de Haar. Also in our restaurants we take younger visitors into account!
Optional: private castle tour
Complete your group visit with a private tour. An experienced guide will share unique anecdotes about the extravagant life of the Van Zuylen van Nijevelt family. Ask all your questions and learn even more about this special place and history. Before or after the tour, you can explore the castle at your leisure.
Private tour:
- Lasts 60 minutes
- Costs, in addition to the entrance tickets, € 175.00 for the guide (for a group size of up to 20 people). An additional guide (per 20 people) costs € 85.00. The number of guides depends on the total group size.
- Start at 09.30 or 15.30 (on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and school vacations at 09.30).
Rates
- For groups up to 20 people, regular admission prices apply.
- Groups with more than 20 people receive a 20% discount on the regular entrance fees. This discount is not valid in combination with other discounts or promotions.
- The costs for a private guide up to 20 people are
€ 175,-. This does not include the castle entrance fee.

Are you coming with more than 10 people? If so, we will be happy to make a reservation and, if desired, a customized quote for you. We will take into account the group size, your culinary wishes and any private tour(s).
Are you coming with less than 10 people? Then a reservation is not necessary. You can purchase your tickets for the castle or park visit here. One of our catering facilities is always open for a snack and a drink. If you would like to take advantage of the private tour, we would of course like to hear from you.
