After all the fun and treats of the holidays, it's great to start the new year fresh and active. The Frisse Start Park Walk is the way to get moving and at the same time enjoy the beautiful park around Castle de Haar. This winter walk will take you along the most beautiful spots of the castle park.

Discover extraordinary stories

Via information signs along the route and in a handy online guide, you will discover special stories about the park and the noble Van Zuylen van Nijevelt family along the way. For example, did you know that the village of Haarzuilens once stood on the site of the park? You will learn during this walk!

Free warm-up in January

Especially for January walkers, a free hot drink awaits afterward at Laverie Restaurant on the Stable Square. Opt for a cup of steaming coffee, tea or hot chocolate and let the fun continue for a while.

Visitor information

The Fresh Start Park Walk takes about 1.5 hours and is included free with a park ticket (€7.00 for adults). Scan the QR code at the beginning and follow the route on your phone (no need to download an app). Prefer not to do everything digitally? Along the route there are also signs with information. For deeper reading you can then continue and find (historical) photos on your phone.

Be sure to wear good shoes; part of the trail goes along an unpaved path. Are you less agile? Then you can skip the unpaved part and 3 of the 13 highlights.

In January, you will find the digital voucher for the free hot drink at Laverie Restaurant at the end of the trail.
