Kasteel de Haar provides a unique experience. As soon as you cross the footbridge at the entrance, you will be surprised by the magnificent estate on which Kasteel de Haar is located. A natural environment with a special flora and fauna with the largest castle of the Netherlands on it, characterized by a sense of exclusivity and opulence. A beautiful location for your dinner, reception or (business) meeting.
Moreover, Kasteel de Haar is located a stone's throw from Utrecht and is easily accessible because of its central location in the green heart.
Epicureans Baron Thierry, grandson of Etienne and Hélène, and his wife Baroness Gabrielle brought glamour and style to Castle de Haar. Appealing names such as Brigitte Bardot, Sophia Loren, Roger Moore, Joan Collins, Coco Chanel, Maria Callas and Michael Caine were feted at the castle. The baron and baroness allowed their guests to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, culinary delights and luxury the castle had to offer.
The castle
Through the borde staircase, your guests will enter the Main Hall of the castle, where the Baron and Baroness have welcomed guests for three generations. The Main Hall offers a magnificent setting and is the largest room in the castle. Here you can enjoy a sit-down dinner with 150 guests, for example; of course, a walking dinner is also among the possibilities. Besides the Main Hall, the castle has a Dining Hall, Ballroom and Knights' Hall, where you can also entertain your guests.
Castle de Haar is in use as a museum during the day. Therefore, the castle can only be rented exclusively in the evening hours (18:30 to 23:00). Booking a meeting at the castle includes location rental and guiding hours of our hospitable staff and excludes catering, furniture, entertainment, decoration and other extras. You can rent the castle exclusively for the amount of € 8,950.00 per evening (excluding VAT).
The Chapel
Located next to the castle is the atmospheric Chapel. The ideal location for a meeting, seminar or presentation. The Chapel can accommodate 130 people in theater seating. The Chapel can be booked both during the day and in the evening.
The park and gardens
It is possible, under certain conditions, to host your event in the castle's park and gardens. For example, atmospheric tents can be placed on the Picnic Meadow, where you can welcome more than 150 guests. The minimum rental of the Picnic Meadow is €15,000.00 (excluding VAT, per day).
Castle tour
A tour of the fairy-tale castle is of course a must for your guests. If desired, we can take your guests on a guided tour of the castle.
Parking
Castle de Haar has a parking lot with a capacity of 500 cars, which you can use for free.
