The Kasteeltuinen highlights route is the way to discover the stories behind the beautiful gardens of Kasteel de Haar. The walk will take you along the most beautiful spots of the castle gardens, where you will learn more about the sights and history of the castle.

Through signs along the route and a handy online guide, you will discover special stories about the park and the noble Van Zuylen van Nijevelt family.

Did you know, for example, that the village Haarzuilens once stood on the site of the park? You will learn it during this walk!

Visitor information

The walking tour takes about 1 hour and is included for free with a ticket to the castle gardens. Scan the QR code at the beginning and follow the route on your phone (app download not necessary). Prefer not to do everything digitally? Along the route there are also signs with information. You can then read further and find (historical) photos on your phone for in-depth information.

Bring good shoes, part of the route goes along an unpaved path.
