Floor Manager Hospitality
32 hours per week
working days at least Sunday and Monday, other days by arrangement
You will take care of the daily management of our day catering team (12 people), supervise weddings and events and ensure that our level of service and quality is always optimal.
Who are we looking for?
A hospitable and radiant Floor Manager who enjoys coordinating the daily hospitality business at Castle de Haar. Our hospitality industry is the place where our museum visitors enjoy a delicious lunch, where our neighbors come together for a good cup of coffee and our wedding couples and business guests find a unique location for their dinner, meeting or party.
Together with your fellow floor managers and the hospitality manager, you will provide a great workplace for your team and a service-oriented hospitality experience for every visitor to Castle de Haar.
What will you do?
- Guest Experience & Service: You and your team provide a great experience. Not only with good food and drink, but also with a tidy, welcoming environment. Every guest is greeted warmly and wished a welcoming home.
- Opening and closing: you ensure a perfect mise en place for the next day and carefully transfer work to your colleagues.
- The team: you build a close-knit team, motivate them and ensure a great workplace for everyone. Thanks to you, the team knows exactly what needs to be done. You lead by example and work pleasantly with the kitchen team.
- Purchasing & inventory management: you make sure there is always enough dry goods and beverage stock, minimize wastage and do the daily ordering.
In short, you are responsible for the daily operations of the hospitality industry. Whether it's the daytime hospitality, a wedding or business party: you make sure that every guest leaves the estate with an exceeded expectation and make no concessions in this. Of course you are not alone; you work closely with the hospitality manager and your fellow floor managers.
What do we ask of you?
- Minimum MBO working and thinking level.
- Experience in the hospitality industry and at least 1 year of work experience in a similar position.
- A great sense of hospitality and quality, without concessions.
- Good command of the Dutch language, both oral and written.
- Command of English and other languages is a plus.
- A diploma in Social Hygiene is an advantage.
- You are a team player, guest-oriented, proactive and communicatively strong.
- You can plan and organize well and show leadership.
- You have a radiant smile and a listening ear for both our guests and your colleagues.
- Passion for the hospitality industry is a must!
What does Castle de Haar offer?
A challenging and managerial position in an informal team at a very special location and with favorable working hours! We are open year-round from 10:30 to 17:30 with daytime catering and for parties also in the evenings. So there are quite a few free evenings ahead.
