Front office team leader
Kasteel de Haar is the largest castle in the Netherlands and until 2000 was privately owned by the van Zuylen family, whose descendants still stay at De Haar every year. Stichting Kasteel de Haar maintains and operates the ensemble Kasteel de Haar with the help of an energetic castle team.
To join our castle team, we are looking for a
Team Leader Front Office
(24 hours per week, working days preferably Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday)
What will you do
The Front Office team leader is the driving force behind our front office team, consisting of 6 employees and various on-call staff and volunteers. The team leader, together with the team, ensures that our visitors and relations are welcomed hospitably every day, that ticket purchases and access control run smoothly, that questions are answered, that fences, gates and barriers are operated and that everyone is wished a good home.
Our new colleague has a strong character and knows how to improve processes with insight and passion for hospitality, to ensure an efficient working environment and a pleasant (working) atmosphere.
You will work closely with the Castle team leader and report to the Head of Public Affairs.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Managing all employees within the front office (coordinators, staff, on-call employees and volunteers);
- Ensuring an optimal level of quality and service regarding the reception of visitors and guests;
- Handling complaints;
- Managing, coordinating and optimizing the processes and execution of the work of the front office;
- Consulting and coordinating with other departments within the castle (such as Sales, Hospitality and Events);
- Educating and training new employees;
- Actively supporting the daily operations of the front office;
- Implementing personnel policies, including staff planning, interviewing and the like.
What we ask of you:
- You have an HBO working and thinking level and preferably a Hospitality related education;
- You have at least 2 years of work experience in a management role within the front office or a similar department;
- You are fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of a third language is an advantage;
- You have good organizational skills and work process-oriented and efficient;
- You are a team player with a motivating leadership style.
- You are flexible, stress resistant and have a hands-on mentality.

The salary is a minimum of €3,371.37 and a maximum of €3,666.79 gross per month for a full-time 40-hour work week. Salary depends on education and experience.
