The family that used to live at Castle de Haar was of nobility. Being of nobility means belonging to a special family that has been around for a long time and often used to have a lot of land and power. These families have special titles, such as baron, count or princess. So, if someone is "of nobility," it means they come from such an important and ancient family.

Do you want to know what it's like to be of nobility...? During the discovery tour 'Typically noble!' at Castle de Haar you will learn what is involved in being of nobility. Which titles are there? What things are you allowed to do that not everyone is allowed to do? And what were 'good manners' during the grand dinners?

You will learn it all during the discovery tour "Typically noble!". Solve assignments, discover your own noble name and design your own family crest. Are you the new duke, baron or prince? Find out for yourself!

Through "Typically noble!" children can complete interactive assignments in the castle and bring out their creativity. The exploration is a fun mix of creativity and gaining knowledge and earns a real noble diploma!

The discovery tour "Typically noble!" will be available for free with the purchase of a castle ticket starting Jan. 5, 2024 and is suitable for children ages 6 and up.
