On June 22 and 23, Kasteel de Haar will be the setting for the AFAS Kasteelloop De Haar and the Kastelentour. The most beautiful sports event of the Central Netherlands for young and old is originally an initiative of Sara Watson (granddaughter of Baron Thierry). The first editions consisted of various running and walking routes, since last year a tour by bike is also possible. The running, walking and cycling routes of different distances start and finish at Castle de Haar and run over the beautiful surrounding landscape, with the castle regularly in the background.

FOR ALL AGES AND CONDITIONS

On Saturday, June 22, the Kastelentour takes place, where participants can choose from a bicycle route of 70, 100 or 140 km along the most beautiful castles and forts in the Green Heart. Walkers can choose this day for a tour of 13 or 20 km.

Sunday, June 23, is the running day, with the youngest participants kicking off with the 2-km Knights and Lady's Run, followed by the distances for athletes 12 and older of 5 and 10 km and the half marathon.

Participants can make a donation to the Wilhelmina Children's Hospital Utrecht at registration.
