More than 300,000 visitors
to Castle de Haar

The year 2019 is the most successful year yet for Castle de Haar.
More than 300,000 visitors this year got a glimpse of the largest
and most luxurious castle in the Netherlands.

Anetta de Jong, director of Stichting Kasteel de Haar: "It is incredible that we have been able to welcome so many people in recent years, topped off this year, in which more than 300,000 people visited the castle. For the past 20 years we have been working very hard on the restoration, both outside and inside the castle. Next year, after 20 years, we will complete the restoration work. Of course, we will celebrate this in 2020 with festive activities and an official touch."

The 300,000th visitor is a visitor for Fairy Tales of the Hair. Since 2010, the event has become a real crowd puller with around ten thousand visitors each year. 'Sprookjes van De Haar' is a family event where young and old(er) follow a treasure hunt along mysterious places in the castle. The scavenger hunt ends with a comical performance depicting a well-known children's story with a mix of singing, humor, sing-along songs. The performances are performed by professional actors from the world of musical and live entertainment.

'Fairy Tales of The Hair' is still playing through Sunday, Jan. 5. Tickets can be purchased at: www.kasteeldehaar.nl. A limited number of tickets are still available.
