Introducing... The Wedding Team at Castle de Haar

We (Timothy, Sandra and Kim) have been the wedding team at Castle de Haar since 2015 and deal with the ins and outs of all weddings, receptions and events at Castle de Haar on a daily basis.

The most memorable day

Last year was a very special year with more than 90 weddings. Every wedding is different and special, but if we think of the most memorable day in 2018, it is surely 18-08-18.
On this oh-so-special date we were able to host as many as 4 couples and each couple had their own wishes and specific ideas. Fortunately, we have a 55-acre park, so this can actually be made possible and all couples can experience their own fairytale wedding. One bride and groom wanted an exclusive large ceremony with 200 guests on the picnic meadow all in white and the other bride and groom wanted a right intimate small ceremony in our Chapel.

It was a beautiful sunny day with very happy newlyweds and we did our best to make sure all the fairy tales came true. To top it off, this day we also had a marriage proposal under the romantic Old Tree in front of the Castle.

Enjoying all the happiness during ceromonies

This year, 50 couples have already enthusiastically agreed to let us cater their wedding. We are very much looking forward to that. The first wedding will take place in March. From then on we get to enjoy all the happiness almost every week!
Most couples choose in addition to their ceremony for a dinner and party at Koetshuis de Haar, but for some couples we may even provide dinner in the castle. That completes the picture of a castle wedding.

We have also received many couples who met during one of our events; such as the Elf Fantasy Fair. There are also several couples who have been asked to marry during one of our events. Or couples whose parents even got married at the Castle as well. Every time it is an honor to show couples around the park and all the possibilities.

Every wedding couple has their own preference in terms of ceremony location in the park (there are no less than 5 different locations to choose from), but what almost all couples have in common is that they are instantly enchanted as soon as they see Castle de Haar and the beautiful gardens surrounding it. Because of the many possibilities at Castle de Haar, we as a wedding team make sure every wedding is exclusive, unique, atmospheric and romantic!
